By accessing or using ParentReach ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including teachers, school administrators, and parents or guardians.

2. Description of Service

ParentReach is a school communication platform that enables teachers and school administrators to schedule appointments, send student reports, and communicate with parents or guardians via automated email notifications. The Service is intended for educational institutions and their staff.

3. User Accounts

Teachers and schools must register for an account to access the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Parents and guardians access the Service through a one-time magic link sent to their email address. No account registration is required for parents.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Transmit any unauthorized or unsolicited communications
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use the Service to collect or harvest personal information about other users
• Impersonate any person or entity

5. Student Data and FERPA

ParentReach handles student information in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Student information entered into the Service is used solely to facilitate communication between teachers and parents. We do not share student data with third parties except as required to provide the Service (e.g., sending email notifications).

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ParentReach and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ParentReach shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
